VictahHH Movies

I met Victor about 2 months ago.  We were talking about his interests, hobbies, what school is like and so on.  After talking for a few short minutes, I asked him why he wanted to lose some weight.  I'm glad his intentions are to be healthy, but he capped it off with "kid's at school make fun of me."

Not everyone seamlessly fits in everywhere they go, matures at the same rate as their classmates,  and carries on with that same path throughout life.  What might seem so obvious to some appears to slip the minds of others.  I see this happening in my adult life as well.

Victor has Aspergers syndrome.  This doesn't make him all that different in my perspective.  He just has a different way of learning.  If kids his age aren't ready to understand his situation, then he has all of us to rally behind him.   I may not have Aspergers, but I can relate to Victor.  Very few people gave me a chance to fit in as a kid.

Victor kind of nonchalantly mentioned he was hosting a walkathon during one of our workouts.  I was floored.  This kid is 13!  He's more proactive in his weight loss journey than most adults I've had the pleasure of working with!   I enjoy learning what makes people tick by hearing their stories.  It's inspiring.  But how after does a 13 year old inspire you to make a change??  He invited me to his first walkathon on a days notice..  I cleared my whole schedule, gave up my hours at work and made sure I was there.  The newspaper showed up and everything!  It was awesome.  A day later, Victor created future walkathon dates leading  into the new year. I'm flattered he now calls me part of the team!

Victor want's your support.  He determined to lose this weight.  He's determined  to be healthy again.  He receives mounds of support from his amazing family, but we can all take part of his journey even if that means only coming to one.  He's determined to see you succeed too.  He's  working on a kick starter that will not only help him buy more T-shirts like the one he's wearing,  but to donate all remaining proceeds to an autism awareness organization of his choice!

Guy's, Victor is no joke.  Coming to the walkathons will cost you nothing but your time and fat cells.  You absolutely do not have to donate money.  Your presence is just as valuable.
